Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Maybelline Lasting Drama Eyeliner (Boots) - £7.99

I have been straying away from my usual liquid eyeliner lately, if my eyes are playing up and they do so much more in the summer then it just runs in my eyes, and my eyes get sore and have that weird black stuff in, its just a big ol' mess. I've been very hesitant about trying the gel eyeliner, I thought only make up experts like Tanya Burr or Zoella would be able to apply this perfectly with precision.

Thankfully, I was so so wrong. I am in love with how easy this is to apply. It is really easy to get a perfect finish on both sides, without the annoying thickness difference on each eye, I find it is a lot easier to do the cat flick as well, so you can get up in the morning make a nice cuppa and apply your make up without the eyeliner frustration of the day. You use hardly any so I can see this lasting a good while, so it is very good for the price. A lot of brands are bringing this out, but I went for Maybelline because it was 3 for 2 in boots, so why not. I didn't go for my blackest black, I went for black chrome so it was a bit softer on the eyes for the summer looks. I find it goes very well without eye shadow, plain and simple and a nice nude gloss.

Have you guys tried it? Any other to recommend?

Lets catch up #1

I've haven't been very consistent lately with the blog posts, but it will all change soon. I have a lot of exciting plans happening soon or starting to plan and I want to take you guys on the little journey with me and document it for my own to look back on. I hope all of you guys are okay, tell me whats been happening in your own lives.

So my first plan, which some of you may see is I'm starting to make jewellery again. I used to make it and had my own little online shop, which I am going to have again, but with a little re-brand. I had to stop last time as I started university and got 2 part time jobs, there just wasn't enough hours in the day. But I'm making quite a bit of stock before I launch this time so I should be able to fit that around work. I will be hosting a big giveaway on my blog when I launch so you can all get involved. I am also asking bloggers to get in contact so I can look at sending out some pieces for a review, if you are interested email me at littlethingsemily@gmail.com. I am currently hosting a giveaway, which you can find here, be the first to have some of my jewellery! (https://twitter.com/welittlethings/status/479688913603538945).

I am also looking into making YouTube video's, I've been looking into this for a while, but always talk myself out of it, even if no one watched, I would have memories on my YouTube, that I could watch. I also want to get into vlogging, if I have an exciting day out or go on holiday. Alongside some beauty, hair and random videos aha. Please let me know what you guys think.

Lastly I've been planning some trips, I really want to start travelling, I've never been abroad and think it would be such an amazing experience. I am planning so far, to go to Menorca with my boyfriend and maybe some others. I am also looking to go to either Cambodia or Thailand and work in an elephant refuge for a week and look after some elephants, which would be an unbelievable experience, and they are my favorite animal.

But for now, I'm working, spending time with the boyfriend, we had a lovely day today, went to the park and had ice cream and played crazy golf, I won as well! aha. Then I'm focusing on getting fit as well, gonna need that bikini body for holiday next year, a lot of hard work to do, I will keep you guys informed on my progress.

Happy 20th Anniversary Diet Coke!

Diet coke is 20 years old, nearly as old as me! Now, I'm not one for fizzy drinks, but who can resist a diet coke poured over ice, in the summer. A nice refreshing drink to cool you down. Diet coke celebrated their 20th anniversary by unveiling a very clever and cheeky flirt machine. It looks like your typical vending machine, but has a diet coke hunk inside who gives out prizes to the people trying to use it. All they had to do was flirt with the man inside, who's complaining?

This featured at Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour Concert, very gutted I missed that. Check out this video to see the weird and wonderful dances and singing the public did to get the goodies (http://youtu.be/IRFyaLTUig0). Coke are just trying to spread a little love, everyone needs love and some cheeky flirting.

Did you see the flirt machine? Hoping they bring one near us, put them in our shopping centers coke!

Bedtime Cleanse

I've been trying different products lately for my skin in the evening and changed my cleansing routine to this, I still moisturize and scrub but this is the cleansing section of it. I've really been loving these products.I use the Eye make up remover first of all and remove the eyeliner and mascara, this doesn't sting or hurt my eyes at all and I don't need to rub to get it off, it just smoothly comes off which is a big thumbs up from me. I then use the Micellar water and take the rest of my make up off. I normally do this twice as I find it takes two times to get all the foundation off. I'm not overly keen on this Micellar water, I find it isn't as good as my L'oreal one. Finally I use the Soothing cleansing mousse. I love this, I'm so glad I picked it up. It's so gentle on my skin and doesn't irritate it at all. It leaves my skin feel so soft and clean and I feel like I'm ready to go to bed after that, with a quick moisturize of course. I'm really impressed and will be buying this again.

What do you guys use? Any suggestions?

My Current Go-To Base

Now, I'm not the most confident, when it comes to my skin I'm always on the look out for new foundation to give me great coverage. This time I opted for Maybelline and got the mousse and liquid foundation. When putting these two together with my primer from Rimmel, it gives me the great coverage I'm after and lasts a really good time. I find that a lot of uneven skin tones and any small spots about to come to light get smoothly covered which means I don't have to apply as much concealer so I am really loving these at the moment. I got these in the 3 for 3 offer at boots so I got a free product as well, which I will also be doing a review on soon. Some days I haven't needed to apply concealer at all. I first apply the primer and give it 2-3 minutes to soak in. I then apply a small amount of the mousse just to give it a thin layer then apply the liquid foundation with my real techniques buffing brush, I buff it into my skin for about a minute and wa-la, ready to start the day.

Have you tried these products? What did you think?
