Current Favourite 2#*

I have recently been going through some skincare and make up that I haven't used in a long time and re-found my love for them. I do overspend on beauty and skincare products sometimes and pop them in my drawers and forget about them sometimes, I'm sure all you beauty lovers do that. Or maybe it's just me, who knows.

Anyway, my first item I've currently been loving is the Soap & Glory Flake Away, I have this horrible thing on my arms and legs, like bumpy red dots, I haven't been tending to them as I probably should. So i've been using this every other day and it's going down so much and feels so much softer. It's made a huge difference and I love it.

Next I have been going back to my Barry M polishes, in particular Matte Vanilla and Gelly High Shine Guava. These are some of my favourites for Summer, the vanilla gives a classy nude look, perfect for work. Guava, the teal colour is always a big hit in Summer. I feel the tone makes your skin seem more tanned that it is, it's also perfect to add some teal or jade stone rings to compliment the colour.
Fragrance wise, Marc Jacobs is always my favourite, I would own everything from him if I had the money. Daisy is a big thing for me this summer, the floral but subtle is perfect. It's not as overpowering as some perfumes can be and just make you choke after a spritz. My boyfriend also brought this for me as a set for my birthday so it reminds me of him too (way to mushy? don't care).

I also need to keep up looking after dried hands and lips in Summer, normally a winter thing but I like to keep up the routine. I've been using Cherry Carmex which is amazing and does the job. I wake up sometimes in the night with a completely dry mouth and it makes my lips crack, this had reduced it so much. I've also been using the Laura Ashley hand cream which I actually got as a set for Christmas but didn't really use the hand cream. I had been using Soap & Glory, but thought I would save some pennies and use this rather than re-buy. So glad I did, it smells amazing, a nice floral scent and helps keeps my hands soft and moisturised.

I have stopped buying lipsticks for a bit as I have farrr to many. I dug this colour out I got a few months ago and only used a few times. I'm not even sure why, it's so pretty. It's a classic pink with a shine to it. It's a Max Factor Lipstick in English Rose. It's perfect for every occasion really, work, parties or a date. Finally it's not a beauty favourite, but I have been loving Ice Tea so much, over ice in the summer it's so refreshing. Hot drinks can just make you feel even hotter but I still like to have tea. I've been having Virtue Iced Tea Lately, I was kindly sent them to try and really liked them. I wasn't overly keen on the Lemon flavour, but the Strawberry and peach is perfection.

What's your favourites at the moment? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I love the Daisy by Marc Jacobs perfume, however just a bit disappointed it doesn't last long when I'm wearing it :( I've also got a small collection of Barry M nail polishes and absolutely love them - still need to get more pastel colours though! I've heard alot about the carmex balm but a bit sceptical about the cherry flavour, is it quite strong?

I have far too many lippies as well and keep going back to one... Mac's Honey Love :P xx

  5. Matte Vanilla just instantly shot to the top of my wishlist! What a gorgeous freaking shade! :)
In the midst of a freezing winter here but it totally looks like a year round colour, and I hopes the skin-warming tendencies apply to me too - looking all ghost-like and in desperately need of a tan.

    Love your work! xoxo
