Pact Coffee*

I am trying to cut down on coffee at the moment, trying to be healthy and all that jazz. So when I do go for that cup of coffee, I want it to be perfect. I've never had freshly brewed coffee at home, I always thought you had to have those big machines to do it and didn't look into it. I just went to coffee shops for my coffee.

However, Pact coffee, something I discovered brings your freshly ground coffee right to your door and it's so easy to make. Not gonna lie, making this makes the kitchen smell amazing. Close your eyes and you can imagine you are in a coffee shop. I got sent the flavour Chocolate covered toffee which is a subtle flavour but the sweetness from it doesn't need any extra sugar.

Below I did a quick demo video just for how I made my coffee, everything from Pact (except the mug). Another handy thing is you just throw the filter away after so it's really easy to keep tidy.

I'm really excited to keep pact as my morning coffee and will be signing up for regular delivery. Have you tried Pact Coffee? See more about it here.

The Best Style and Beauty Tips for Wedding Guests!*

A wedding is a very special occasion, so you want to make sure you look your best. However, this isn’t like a regular night out. You need to make sure you’re respectful of traditions, and don’t try to upstage the bride! Here I have the best style and beauty tips for weddings guests for you:

Don’t Try to Upstage the Bride

If you try to upstage the bride, you’ll look very disrespectful. This could be through wearing very heavy makeup and glamming up like you’re going for a night out, for instance. This is a wedding, and you need to look as respectful as you can while still looking pretty. Don’t cover yourself in jewellery. You’re not the most important person on this day, so let the bride have her time in the spotlight. It’s difficult to upstage a bride anyway, so don’t even try!

Avoid White

Wearing white on somebody else’s wedding day is extremely disrespectful. The bride wears white, and you have a whole rainbow of other colours to choose from. Don’t even consider wearing a colour close to white.

Make Sure You’re Appropriately Covered

Showing off too much skin at a wedding is a huge no-no. This is your opportunity to wear something really classy, so grab it with both hands. Save your revealing dresses for a night on the town with your friends. Outfits like jumpsuits, long skirts and blouses, and maxi dresses are perfect. You have so many options and there’s bound to be something that suits you perfectly.

Go for a More Romantic Look

Wedding are all about that romantic look - It’s a celebration of love! Don’t put on your most sultry makeup and wear your most vampy dress, even if it does cover you up. Go for something pretty instead! Embrace pretty floral patterns and pastel colours, and go for light makeup. That sort of look is perfect for a wedding! You should get an idea for the wedding style when you receive one of those traditional wedding invitations. Use this as a guide if you can!

Make Sure Your Shoes are Comfortable

The worst thing you can do at a wedding is wear uncomfortable shoes. You want to dance, don’t you? You definitely don’t want to be the guest that walks around with no shoes on for the majority of the night. Prepare yourself by investing in some foot cushioning pads for your shoes too. They make a big difference!

Look Out for Wardrobe Malfunctions

Try to preempt any wardrobe malfunctions before they even happen. This is the smartest way to look your best all throughout the day! For instance, if you’re wearing tights, take some clear nail polish with you to stop ladders in their tracks. Practice wearing an outfit and dancing in it beforehand to ensure it’s not going to embarrass you at any point!

Above all else have a wonderful time celebrating with the happy couple. When you’re having a good time, you’ll always look your best. Enjoy!

Breakfast in bed with Duerr's*

Nothing is better than breakfast in bed, sometimes something simple is just what you need. I've been enjoying bagels most mornings lately and sometimes will opt for normal toast. If I do have toast I normally have, either half and half or rye bread. For so long, I only had either marmite or peanut butter and was too picky to try anything else.

I've been trying different jams and preserves lately, Duerr's sent me a lovely rhubarb and custard jam which was so yummy but I much preferred it in jam tarts. As you can see from the jar half empty, I've very much been enjoying this one. Alongside my normal morning coffee. This is suitable for vegetarians, vegan and is gluten free. The raspberries are freshly picked to make the juiciest jams.

This would also be perfect in a Victoria sponge! What's your favourite breakfast at the moment?

Lazy Girl's Guide to Afternoon Tea

It's nice to have the girls round for afternoon tea or even a family get together, good for a sunday catch up. But not everyone has the time to bake a cake or maybe we would much rather just sit and watch netflix. This is a lazy girl's guide to having afternoon tea.

Sunday Summary #10

This week has been a good week. I've been in training at work all week, it has been draining learning so much but it's a good move for my career and I'm closer to becoming a mortgage advisor which is my end goal. But apart from that I've had a lot of blogger mail to sort through which is exciting and I have lots of stuff to review and loads of ideas for new posts.

I've been really positive and focusing on changes to improve my health and well being. I will keep you updated but I'm feeling very optimistic. Today me and Scott went on a walk and ended up walking for 2 hours and we will be doing it next Sunday and try to beat our time. It was such a lovely walk and I couldn't help but take some photos of the lovely field of wild flowers. I feel an outfit post would be perfect there.

Now to spend the rest of my Sunday doing my favourite thing, waiting for a roast dinner while chilling in my comfy clothes and watching The Simpsons.

How was your week? Let me know in the comments below.

Make Up Revolution | Corrector Palette*

Especially when it's that time of the month, my skin hates me. It breaks out, goes all blotchy and weird and foundation ends up getting caked on. I was kindly sent this new palette to try by Make Up Revolution, it's one of the more affordable ones I've seen at only £6 and it is quite a big palette so you're getting your moneys worth.

This is a much better alternative to covering your face in so much make up you can scrape it off with a knife. All the colours do different things to help your skin look flawless and have a balanced complexion. They are creamy colours so easily blendable onto the skin. I use it under my foundation and find it really helps cover blemishes as well so I am using less concealer. It is perfect for a breakout or if you have naturally blotchy or uneven skin tones.

What the colours do:

Pink - Brightens
Lavender - Neutralises yellow tones
Green - Neutralises redness
Orange - Neutralises blue tones
Peach - Helps balance out slight discolouration
White - Adds natural highlight and brightens skin
Cream - Neutralises purple and covers dark areas (Love it under the eyes!)
Brown - Balances ashiness on medium to dark skin tones

Have you used this before? Do you think it would be beneficial? Let me know in the comments below.

Instagram Outfit #3

This is one of my casual/smart workwear outfits. It's perfect for a warm day off to work or even a brunch date. The floral busy print hides any lumps and bumps. The blazer is loose and comfy, which also helps hide any bumps and makes me feel more confident. Fashion is all about comfort for me, I wouldn't put myself in pain to be on 'trend'.

Top - Very (So Fabulous)
Blazer - Newlook
Leggings - Primark
Shoes - Newlook
Bag - Very (South)
Nails - Essie (Bahama Mama)
Bracelet -  Pandora

What's your favourite item to wear at the moment? Looking forward to A/W clothes?

Instagram Outfit #2

This is the perfect casual wear, I wear it to work, to lunch or even for a lazy day in with the boyfriend. I love black and white tones and rarely wear colour. Autumn/Winter is my favourite time of year so being all snug in a jumper when it starts getting colder is impeccable. Even better when it's a lazy day snuggled in a jumper with some hot chocolate watching Netflix. As you can see from my badge I wore this to work this day.

Jumper - Very (South)
Leggings - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Rings - Primark
Nails - Barry M (Rose Hip)

Mani Monday | Rose Hip

New week, new mani. I've been wearing this colour for the last week and reapplied it for this week ahead. I have recently been taking the time to do my nails in the evening, I buy cheap wholesale nails and a good nail glue so I have nice longer nails. I hate my normal nails, I just can't get them to grow and makes my fingers look so stubby.

But anyway, I went for Barry M - Rose Hip. It's a very pale pink, almost white. It is a very classic colour and goes with pretty much anything. I've really been loving this colour, I could easily jazz it up with some glitter or nail gems but for now I just like it plain.

Also with the nails, I don't have them too long so they can look quite natural, what do you guys use to help your nails grow?

What is your favourite Barry M shade? Let me know in the comments below.
