Now, if you know me, you will know I hate feet. But the main reason I hate them is because in summer dirty and untidy feet are everywhere. So I like to look after mine. Pedicures and all that jazz. But I do it myself. People can't touch my feet, I'm so ticklish and they will end up just getting kicked in the face. So here is a few things I do to keep my feet looking footalicious (cheesy? oh well).
Short & sweet
Come on now, we all know in summer there are a lot of people that go out in sandals and flip flops. Some people, with long, dirty, unpolished toe nails. It's enough to make me feel sick. No offence. My first tip for those pretty twinkle toes would be to keep the nails trimmed (and filed if you feel like being adventurous). Then pop on some nail polish for a pretty finish. I always file my nails now, I never used to and find it so much better.
Rough around the edges
Another thing in sandal season or just anytime really. Is making sure you keep on top of any hard skin around your heel or toes. At first it doesn't really bother you and you can just forget about it, but that is the best time to use a pumice stone or a hard skin remover 'tool' (whatever they are called) and get rid of it. If you leave it, your hard skin will start to crack, it will look and feel horrible. It can be painful sometimes too.
When you are in the shower about half way through, just after you put the conditioner in your hair. Put some foot scrub on your feet and rub it all over, leave for about 5 minutes while you clean the rest of your body then rinse off. After you get out the shower apply some moisturiser for your feet too. Any will do, I normally use a Avon duo set or the heel genius from soap and glory. It really makes a difference.
So there is my tips for have pretty feet. As much as I hate feet, I did enjoy writing this.
Any other recommendations? What do you do?
