Deliveroo | Wagamama*

I've only been to Wagamama's once before and it was good, but I had wish I tried something else. I had the Chicken Donburi and went there with my best friend, Shan. Unfortunately it is a very popular place, so it can be hard to get a table. Silver lining and all that, they now deliver in my home town, wooo. They deliver through Deliveroo which is a premium delivery site. They deliver for restaurants that wouldn't normally do delivery and give you should a larger variety of take away you can have in the comfort of your own home.

My Top Three Healthy Recipe Books

As a typical plump girl, one of my new years resolutions is to lose weight. One of the things I really wanted to do was change my lifestyle and not just go on a fad diet. Preparation is the key and one of the steps I took was to stock up on cook books so I had new stuff to try. I love trying new things and cooking, I find cooking very therapeutic which helps with my anxiety and stress.

Ahh, Sundays

Sundays are my favourite. It's the day for relaxing, plus I do work some Sundays so when I have it off I really appreciate it. Sometimes we just need to take a step back and appreciate what we have and how far we have come. I've been feeling down a lot this weekend but with the help from my lovely boyfriend Scott and my best friend Shannon I have cheered up a lot. 

I've spent today watching New Girl, I never watched it when everyone was raving about it because I just thought I wouldn't like it. But I LOVE it. 

I'm really looking forward to the week coming up, I'm in work tomorrow but I'm off the rest of the week and I'm going be working a lot on my blog. This is a pretty crap blog post, I know but it's just more of an update post. Let me know how your week has been and what your up to next week?

Your Tips For The Ultimate Spa Break*

Sometimes you want to relax and just get away from life for a while. I’ve been in that situation before but I haven’t always been able to pay for an expensive spa treatment. That’s the hardship of being in your early adult years, unfortunately. You can’t always afford the luxuries. Now I’m a little better off and I can spend some money to take time away from it all. However, I know there’ll still be people out there in the position I was a couple of years ago. So, I’m going to look at both options. Either getting away for a spa retreat. Or, organising your own spa treatments at home.

UK Blog Awards '16

I've had a pretty good year last year on the blog front. My reader count grew and still is, I reached 1.5k which to me is amazing. I can't get my head around it. I've felt quite down about my blog at time but will occasional get the cutest message from someone who reads my blog and it just makes my day. I've also had some really good opportunities from my little ol' blog and it a real help with my anxiety and focusing on writing posts is such good down time. I'm happy to say I am in the lifestyle category for the UK Blog Awards for 2016 and would really appreciate any votes!

Knitwear with Paulie*

I love knitwear as much as the next person, well probably a lot more to be honest. To me, perfection would be living somewhere a little chilly, maybe a log cabin. Having a burning fire, big mug of hot chocolate all snug in a comfy jumper. It costs a lot of money but one day I want to have a cashmere jumper. Even some cashmere socks will do to be honest.

Live LAGOM | Resoloutions*

I am lucky enough to say I am part of Ikea's Live Lagom project. To live lagom it means to live more sustainably but still have the little luxuries in life. Now, we all could do with living a bit more sustainable. I have two things I want to work on over the next year with the help from Ikea. I want to have less waste with food and reduce the electricity I use.

A few reasons really, I was very ill before christmas and just spent my time on the sofa watching Geordie Shore so it was not the most exciting time of my life. I've also been doing a lot overtime at work. So it's been work, eat, sleep, repeat. Nothing you guys really want to hear about.

Never Without Nudes

Nude's are fast becoming the nations favourite, not to mention mine. Nothing more perfect than a neatly nude nail and beautifully nude lip. The proof is in the pudding, Kylie Jenners nude focused lip kits sold out in 30 seconds. Unfortunately I didn't get any. However I thought I'd do a quick post to share my favourite nude nail varnishes. I only have like 2 nude lippys, I need to grow this collection. Disgraceful.

From left to right, firstly I know it's not a nail varnish but wanted to give a shout out for this amazing hand cream. From the beautiful Zoe Sugg, it just screams her in every way, the rose gold, lace pattern and polka dots. Very much reminds me of her blog when she first started out.  It has Shea Butter in which always makes hand creams stand out more to me, has an amazing scent and really helps moisturise your hands. We all need a little help with winter drying out our skin hey?

Whats in my bag?

I haven't done one of these posts in about 2 years, certainly time for an update. These are my favourite kind of posts. I love being nosy in other peoples belongings, sometimes I even get inspiration to keep other things in my bag. So I don't know how interesting this is but yeah, enjoy.

The bag I'm currently using is navy blue Ted Baker bag Scott got my for my birthday. As it's still pretty cold in January, I've got my trusty hand cream. Every winter my hands get so dry and the skin gets horrible so I need to maintain them with moisturising hand cream. In love with the Zoella Wonder Hand cream my bestie got me for crimbo. A hair brush and some dry shampoo to keep my hair looking lovely. Loving Ruth Crilly's range at the moment.

Top 3 | Things To Watch

I know, I know, I'm sorry. Already messed up the blogging every other day. But last night when I planned to write my post I got surprised with a date night. It was so lovely. I got a lovely meal, my favourite spaghetti bolognese and Scott rented my favourite movie. So I'm sorry I missed it, you're getting a post today and tomorrow! Woo, people make mistakes, we're all human.

1. Trainwreck

This is the film Scott rented for our date night, it's such a good film. It's almost like a role reversal film. The main character, Amy Schumer acts with guys normally how a guy would play a girl. Put typical film, falls in lurveee. So funny, deffo something you need to watch if you haven't already.

2. Ex on the beach

I've only recently starting watching this but I really am hooked. The main reason I like it is because there are people from Geordie Shore in it and I LOVE Geordie Shore. Typical reality show, shove some people in a house and add in a few ex's to cause stupid amounts of drama.

3. Geordie Shore

As I said, I love Geordie Shore. I can't watch it enough, it's full or sex, arguments, drama and Charlotte pissing the bed. Charlotte is my absolute favourite, she's just so funny.

This is what I'm currently loving but it changes a lot. What are you loving at the moment?

16 Things In 2016

So this year I want to try a few new things and have a mini bucket list for the year. I think 16 is a good number as well, it's 2016. Makes sense? 2015 was a good but hard year for me. I moved out and in with my boyfriend, got diagnosed with anxiety and reached some goals on my blog. I'm a very driven person and love having goals to work towards.

1. Do more outdoor activities
I spent a lot of the year inside not being a massive hermit but with the anxiety and moving out leaving me with not a lot of money, I just had loads of cosy nights with the boyfriend. Netflix and chill, but actually chill. So basically watching season after season til I fall asleep. So I want to go for walks in the park, do some fun stuff like at a Centreparcs.

2. Visit Paris
This year will be tight with money, I am already prepared for that but I want to go to Paris, even if its for a weekend. I want to stroll down the streets, smell croissants, drink wine and wear striped tops. Thats basically what being french is right?

3. Learn a language
This is something I've wanted to do for so long, ideally I want to learn French. With wanting to go to Paris and all, makes sense right? I'm going to start easy with the DuoLingo app, then I won't feel so bad if I give up

4. Reach 2000 followers on Bloglovin' & Twitter
I hit 1500 on both this year so I want to try and grow my blog and reader base this year to 2000. It would be amazing, I can't believe I already have so many of you, I love you all!

5. Lose about 3 stone
I know this is a lot, but I want to work so hard and try to lose as much as I can and get fit, not thin.

6. Be able to walk in heels
I feel like I'm failing as a women, I need to learn to walk in heels so I can wear them for a night.

7. Read more (10 books)
I really want to read more and I've already found a good few books I want to read. I am currently reading Me, Me, Me by Charlotte Crosby and I'm half way through, so I'm pretty proud of that. I will do some book reviews too and share my thoughts with you guys.

8. Giving up fizzy pop
I did it for a long time last year, at least 2 months and I did feel so much better. I'm going to try and just stay away.

9. Buy some jeans
I pretty much live in leggings 24/7 so I want to branch out and get some comfortable jeans. Mix it up a bit. I lead such a crazy life, I know...

10. Go to the Natural History Museum in London

11. Try and do some vlogging

12. Spend more time with my friends
It's so hard to spend time with your friends. Being and adult and having to work and clean your flat takes a lot of time. I want to have more girly nights, brunches and all that.

13. See a show
I haven't seen a pantomime since I was about 12 and it was Peter Pan or something. I need to be more cultured and see something grown up. Or maybe just be a massive kid and see Lion King.

14. Start Running
I really want to be one of those people who enjoy running, help reduce anxiety and stress, ignore the world, put some music in and just go. Hopefully gonna start the journey this year.

15. Go to the seaside
One of my favourite places to be in the world is the seaside. Fish and chips, ice cream, walking in the sea. Going there with Scott and spending quality time with my favourite person.

16. Get to an intermediate level with Yoga
I'm still a newbie and beginner, as I'm going to get fit. I want to up my yoga game.

Hello 2016!

Happy new year! Also happy birthday to me, yes my birthday is the first day of the year. It's not too bad, when I was younger I thought all the firework displays were for me, hey a girl can dream. It's an easy birthday for people to remember though and because I don't really drink I'm never hungover on it.

I chosen to call them goals rather than resolutions, people make resolutions and then a month later you've already given up on it. This year my goals are really important to me and I'm going to give it my all to achieve them. I feel like a slightly different state of mind can make all the difference. I'm going to set smaller monthly goals to help myself achieve them.

Get Healthy

I know this is very cliche but it's something I need to do. I have been unhealthy and this needs to be changed. I'm not doing it for the vanity reasons, I doing it for me. I want to be healthy and fit and live as long as I can without putting myself in harms way because I'm bigger. I've already re-joined the gym and brought some healthy cook books which are amazing and I will share more in depth with you guys in another post. The gym doesn't open until 6th January but I'm excited to go back.


This year I'll be working with Ikea to live a more sustainable life but not extreme so I have lifes little luxuries. This is called living LAGOM. I'm going to be focusing on reducing my energy usage and hopefully reducing my bills. Since moving out it's hard to work out yourself on how to manage your own electricity, silly things like turning things off at the plug so you don't use extra energy and not to leave my phone on charge all night because it's using a lot more electricity than needed.

My next part is to reduce waste, when I first moved out I struggled working out how much food to buy and how much I would need. So I'm going to be looking for recipes to use leftovers and freeze more stuff. Whatever I can do to reduce food wastage. I will keep you updated on this too.

Focus on the Blog

I really want to be a better blogger this year. Blogging is my favourite thing to do and it's a really good distraction when my anxiety kicks in, I can just ramble on my blog and it chills me out. I'm setting myself a goal for this year to blog every other day. I hope I can stick to it but if I miss a few days I'm not going to beat myself up about it. Theres another few things I want to do for myself, as long as I do them, I'm hoping to then look into vlogging a bit too, just like weekly vlogs. I'm not sure how interesting my life is to be honest. What would you guys like to see more of on drainedbeauty?
