Beauty On A Budget*

Here are my top three tips to keep yourself looking and feeling beautiful while saving the pennies! Being a new mum and on maternity leave, money is tight. So I am in the middle of saving money and making it go further.

//01 Affordable Make up

I love my Mac and Chanel make up but it's just not feasible to buy a £20 mascara at the moment. There are some affordable brands that still have really quality make up. My favourite are:
  • Make up revolution
  • MUA
  • Primark
There are so many youtube videos of reviews of affordable make up like this from the glamorous Lucy Jessica Carter.
//02 Samples

If you search online you can get free samples everywhere. They are so good for budgeting because well...they are free. If you check brands Facebook and websites they sometimes have ways to order a sample. There are also sample sites dedicated to this and you can get beauty items from them like WOW FreeStuff.

//03 Loyalty Cards

If you haven't already pick up some loyalty cards, they are free and you can get stuff in return. The main ones I use are my Boots and Superdrug cards. You earn points while shopping as you usually would. They all add up and you can use it to purchase things from the store. It is handy if you ran out of foundation and don't get paid til next week. Use your saved up points and you are good to go.

What are your tips to save on beauty? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Ooh I haven't heard of sample sites before, but they would be a huge lifesaver to me because I can have really bad allergic reactions to some makeup.
