F**k Off

As you may know from my recent post 'Blonde New Me' I had a dramatic hair change colour. The Daily Mail arranged it for the 'femail' section which is all about beauty, fashion and lifestyle so hair care would really fit in that. You can see the article here. The evening after it was out there was over 400 comments on it. I think I saw one nice comment.

I appreciate putting yourself online opens you up to criticism but this was ridiculous. People saying why bother, they don't look good now, looked better before, why can't people accept themselves how they are. Literal millions of women dye their hair! MILLIONS. I don't care if you think I shouldn't of, that is a personal decision for each individual. Everyone is their own person and can make their own decisions. I have recently gone through a tough pregnancy, adjusting to life as a new mum and not feeling comfortable in my own body. I wanted to do this for me. My anxiety is really bad as well if I wasn't so angry I could be really affected by this.

You should always be nice to people because you don't know what they are going through. Each one of the women in that article chose to go blonde and was thrilled with the outcome. It is actually disgusting this is normalised and people just say 'ignore it'. They shouldn't be doing it in the first place! I doubt 400 people would go out of their way to say these things to my face. There is no consequence online and they can literally drive people to the brink. Next time you comment on something, really think about it.

Read Kerry's post here, she joined me on the 'blondeover' and had the same experience. What do you think about this? I would love to here your views in the comments below!

  1. You go girl! Fight back against the trolls - the worst thing is, this was probably just as much women commenting as men! But also though, Daily Mail readers are CLEARLY not too smart - your hair looks absolutely fabulous and if they saw it in person they'd doubly know how great it is. xx

You do you, don't let anyone get you down.

  2. JEEZ why are people such (and I'm not sorry for using this word) cunts? You know what? Fuck the trolls and nasty people out there because they're more than likely jealous that yourself and all those other beauties were offered such an amazing experience!

I'm not surprised to be honest that there were more hate comments than lovely comments, this is sadly the world we're living in and people are growing more bitter.

I'm just sad that yourself and all the other ladies have had to face such a backlash, but fuck them! You're all gorgeous and fucking fabulous!

  3. I'm so shocked at this! Your hair honestly looks fab. I can't believe would write comments like this. It's bad enough when people troll celebs...but to troll your average person on the street? So disgusting! Luce xo | www.lifeofluce.com
