A Few Ways To Look After Yourself During The Time Of The Month*


//01 Light exercise

Although exercise is the last thing on your mind when you feel like your insides are being torn apart, a bit of light exercise can really make a massive different. A walk through your neighbourhood with your partner or bestie having a chat can get you out the house. If you feel up to it, speed up that walk and get your heart rate going.

My favourite thing to do is do some light yoga from Tara Stiles youtube channel, she has a lot of gentle relaxation yoga exercises. When you do light stretching and yoga it's like it massages your insides from the slow movements and poses. Then jump into the bath and I feel 100 times better.


//02 Treat Yourself

Sometimes when you're on you can literally have no motivation, be in constant pain and are in desperate need of pamper and cheering up. //03 Me Time

Curl up on the sofa with a hot drink, hot water bottle and put a good film on. It's my favourite thing to do with your loved ones or on your own. It's such a simple thing but it's the little things that make me happy and feel at peace. As we are going into the colder months as well nights in are much more on my radar than going out so doing this when I am feeling a bit rough really helps with my overall mood. Also the hot water bottle is a must-have it really helps settle my cramp pains.

  1. I've heard about Pink Parcel before! One of the girls I work with gets it and it does sound so appealing. All the girls in the office have contemplated getting it. :P I just love all the cute little pamper items you get in there, as well as your sanitary towels/tampons. I also love how in depth you can be about what you want (pads or tampons) and which brands you like! It's so good.

    I loved your blog post so much. The exercise part reminded me of school and back then I thought it was BS, but now it's actually true. :P
